2009 Membership Now Open - Now through May 31
Impact Oklahoma is open to all women who want to make a difference. We are seeking generous, community-minded women to impact the quality of life in Central Oklahoma (Oklahoma, Canadian, Cleveland and Logan counties) in five key areas: family, culture, health and wellness, environment, and education.
Each Impact OK member contributes $1,000 per year.
Impact Oklahoma enables you to be part of gifts that are collectively larger than most women can afford to contribute individually. Each woman's donation for membership is due by May 31 and invested in a short-term investment account for the remainder of the year. The interest earned on this money helps to cover the administrative costs of the organization.
Impact Oklahoma's goal is to reach 500 members each year. By reaching our goal of 500 members, we will be capable of awarding a $100,000 grant in each of our five focus areas; family, culture, health and wellness, environment and education.
*100% of each $1,000 contribution goes to the grant recipients. Impact Oklahoma has no paid staff. Impact Oklahoma's operational overhead is paid from interest on membership fees before distribution and friends of Impact Oklahoma. For the last two years, we have been the beneficiary of proceeds from the event, Wine Women and Shoes. In 2008 we will be co-beneficiary with Calm Waters.
